She married Ralph A. Johanson in November of 1946 and they were later divorced.
Lila had five children: Kathryn (Max) Larsen; Barbara (Dean) Landon; Steven (Jeanie) Johanson; Ruth (Rod) Griffin; and Beth Blair; 19 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister: Mary and Lamond Frost; sister-in-law: Mary Mills, and her beloved dog, Speedy.
Lila is preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers; her daughter, Ruth Lila Griffin; her son, Steven R. Johanson; grandson: Matthew Larsen and a great-grandson, Dylan Bosch.
Lila loved taking care of others and worked for many years in the healthcare and service industries. She loved kids, especially her grandchildren. She loved animals as well, and rescued many cats and dogs during the years. Speedy followed her around and defended her faithfully in her later years.
The family would like to especially recognize and thank Max and Kathy Larsen and their family for providing excellent care for Mom at home for many years. And thanks as well to the good people at the Richfield Rehabilitation Center for all their special care.
Lila will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the Salina Creek LDS Ward Chapel, 85 South 100 East in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Saturday morning from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
