Lee, as he was known to his family and friends, is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Mabel J. Couch, whom he met and married on June 7, 1958 in San Diego, CA. He is also survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth Couch of Virginia Beach and Leesa Allison (Robbie) of Chesapeake. He has two beautiful grandchildren, Hannah Jane and Dylan Lee Batten. He is also survived by four sisters and six brothers.

He was born in Garland, Utah. He joined the United States Navy in 1954, and he proudly served his country for 20 years until his retirement in 1974. After retiring from the military, he settled down with his family in Virginia Beach. He was a dedicated employee of Norfolk Truck Center for the next 28 years until he retired in 2002. He loved bowling and fishing.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed beyond words by his family and he will be missed dearly by his many friends.

He will be laid to rest at Rosewood Memorial Park in Virginia Beach, Friday, May 3, 2013 at 11:00 am.
