Julius Grunewald, 76, life long resident of the town of Herman, died at his farm home Sunday at 10 pm after a week's illness. He was born Oct 3, 1862 in Germany, and came to America with his parents, Mr & Mrs Gottfried Grunewald when he was 5 years old, locating in the Town of Herman.
He married to Barbette Winkel on August 15, 1886 and after their marriage they lived on various farms in town of Herman, for the past 37 years living at their present farm home. His wife preceded him in death on January 13, 1933
Julius bought the family farm in 1900.
Survivors are 10 sons, Louis, Carl, Norbert and Arno at Howards Grove, Martin at Ada, Walter at Millersville, Eddie in town of Herman, Oscar at Sheboygan, Harley & Herbert, at home; four daughters, Mrs Ida Zimmerman of Franklin, Mrs Eleanor Boeldt of Town Herman, Mrs Lydia Fink of Town of Rhine and Mrs Elsie Illig of Town of Mosel; 48 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister. Burial in Trinity Lutheran cemetery, Town of Herman.
