His parents were Pearl Ulysses and Huldah (Halderman) Dickson and also preceded in death by his 3 siblings brother Joseph and his half siblings Richard Dickson and Lois (Dickson) Snoke.
He graduated from Lancaster High School with the class of 1950. He joined the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Leon worked and retired from North American Rockwell International.
He died at his residence.
