Obituary – Norman
Delia Anna Brown was born on Mach 16 1846, in Walworth county Wisconsin. She was married to James Norman, November 28, 1875. To this union were born three children – Josie M., Elmer J., and Ida May, all whom with her husband four grand-children and many relatives and friends are left to mourn her departure.
As to her faith in the Savior the following is copied from her Bible: "I believe in the Lord Jesus, and on the 27th day of October, 1867, was baptized by Eld. G. W. Turner." And now after twenty-eight years of patient suffering she fell asleep in Jesus, February 19, 1912, and was laid to rest in the East Pine river cemetery at Yuba February 21,1912.
Services were conducted West Lima Christian church by Eld. J. C. Royer, of Baraboo, from the text II Timothy, 2:8.
Contributor's Addition: Timothy Text: 8 Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound! 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 11 The saying is trustworthy, for:
If we have died with him, we will also live with him;
12 if we endure, we will also reign with him;
if we deny him, he also will deny us;
13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful—

Norman – At her home in West Lima, Wis., Feb. 19, 1912, Mrs. Delia Anna Norman, aged 65 years 11, months and 3 days.
The deceased, whose maiden name was Delia Anna Brown, was born in Walworth county, Wis., March 16, 1846. She married James Norman Nov. 28, 1875. To this union were born three children, Josie M., Elmer J., and Ida May, all of whom, with her husband and many other friends, remain to mourn her death. She was converted years ago, and was baptized by Eld. Geo. W. Turner in October 1867. She had been an invalid twenty-eight years, but this is now all in the past.
We laid her to rest in the Yuba cemetery, Feb. 21st. The services were conducted by the writer from the text 2 Tim. 2. 8. – J. C. Royer

Delia Anna Brown was born near Lake Geneva, Walworth County, Wis. March 16m 1846, and died at West Lima, Wis., February 19, 1912.
In 1857 she came with her parents to Richland County remaining here one year, they returned to Walworth County but only for a short time when they again returned spending the remainder of her life in Richland Co. She grew to womanhood in the town of Henrietta and November 28, 1875 was united in marriage to James Norman, her new home still being in Henrietta. To this union were born three children; Josie M., Elmer J., and Ida May, all of whom with her husband, four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends survive her. Just eight years of married life and she became an invalid, and has ever since been confined to her home and most of the time to her cot.
Three years ago she with her husband and one daughter moved to West Lima where she has ever since been gaining physical strength. The past year she had enjoyed the privilege of walking about and enjoying the beautiful sunlight which she had not done for twenty-eight years. But the cold blasts of winter were too much for her frail system and after suffering a slight attack of pneumonia she suddenly expired from weakness of the heart.
Tho' deprived of physical strength all these years yet she always filled the mother's place in the home looking after the welfare of her family and being a council and guide to her children as only a Christian mother knows how. She was never heard to murmur or complain of her suffering but was always looking forward to something brighter, and best of all ever trusting the One who is sufficient for our every need. The following is copied from her Bible: "I believe in the Lord Jesus, and on the 27th day of October 1867 was baptized by Elder G. W. Turner."
Funeral services were conducted at the Christian Church at West Lima February 21, by Elder J. C. Royer of Baraboo, from the text II Timothy 2:8, and we laid her to rest in the East Pine River cemetery at Yuba.
