Clara Mae Blalock Kephart was born January 23, 1930 on Beaver Creek in Jefferson County, the sixth of seven children born to Edgar Louis Blalock and Ila Fay Moore Blalock. Clara passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in Duncan.

She grew up in the Diamond community and married Claudie Lee Kephart on January 23, 1947 in Henrietta, Texas. Together, they raised four children. Claudie preceded her in death in 2003.

Clara was a member of First Assembly of God and Bethel Assembly of God Churches in Duncan, Oklahoma for many years. She worked at Medical Center Hospital and later retired from Halliburton, where she worked in the Halliburton Education Institute.

Clara loved her Lord and Savior, as well as, her friends in the Cowtown 49ers. She loved Southern Gospel music and attended concerts whenever she could. Clara had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a joke to tell to her friends in assisted living. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Proverbs 31:28a- Her children arise up and call her blessed.

Clara is survived by her younger sister, Juanita Woolf of Yukon, and her four children: daughter Edith Davis and her husband Bill of Duncan, Oklahoma; her son Eddie Kephart and his wife Dale of Bridge Creek, Oklahoma; her daughter Claudia Pittman and her husband Bill of Duncan Oklahoma; and her daughter Peggy Haviland of Norman, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, OK with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating.
