Dorothy May Schutt Rissky passed away in her home in Modesto on November 18, 2016 at the age of 94. She and her husband had been happily married for sixty-seven years, celebrating their anniversary in June of this year. One of seven daughters of Ernest and Ruby Schutt, she grew up on a farm outside Fairmount, North Dakota.
She is survived by her husband, Bennie; her daughter, Sherlynn (Larry) Brown; her son, BK Rissky; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and sisters, Bernice, Gwen and Doris.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Agnes, Eunice and Betty, her brother, Byron, and two infant brothers.
She loved her life's work, defense worker in Southern California during WWII; school teacher in rural North Dakota; wife, mother and homemaker in Modesto. And all her life, she loved music.
Memorial service to be held at a future date.
