According to the book written by Benjamin Franklin Hesser in 1976, there is this quote on pp. 7-8: "...It was here (Loudoun County, Virginia) that Peter Conrad's father, Johann Conrad, died in 1789. Soon after his death, Peter Contrad married Hannah. Sometime after they were married, they crossed Virginia and West Virginia by wagon train and on into Jefferson County, Ohio, Steubenville being the county seat. Here Peter and Hannah settled down as pioneers. To this union, four sons were born, i.e., John Conrad, Janathan, Andrew and Peter. John Conrad, the oldest, was born on December 23, 1791, and this is where the third generation of our Hesser family begins. John Conrad married SARAH EDGEROIN on November 20, 1809. They lived in and around Jefferson County, Ohio. From this union fourteen children were born. The fourteenth child was Isaac Thomas Hesser, born on November 18, 1836, in Muscatine, Iowa, close to the Mississippi River and across the river from the town of illinois City, Illinois. John Conrad, the father of Isaac Thomas owned and left a family bible printed in 1814. The bible listed the dates of his own and his wife's birth and those of all his fourteen children. John Conrad was said to be one of the early settlers in Crawford County, Ohio. He was living in Jefferson County in 1812, and later in the fall of 1823 moved to Sandusky, Ohio, near the WYANDOTTE NATION Reservation. Several years later, he moved his family to a point on the Mississippi River between Iowa and Illinois where he operated a ferry boat and a hotel. This was in or near Illinois City, Illinois. Here he lived until his death in 1844...".

It is presently unknown who Sarah Edgeroin Hesser's parents were, and there is speculation that she may have been a member of the WYANDOTTE NATION, although this cannot be confirmed until said parentage is confirmed one way or the other.

On the flip side, Jacob and Keturah Adrian may in fact have been Sarah Edgeroin's parents, or perhaps Jacob her father, and her mother unknown or perhaps Keturah her mother, and her father unknown. Again, this cannot be confirmed until said parentage is confirmed one way or another.
