Daughter of John Schooley and Editha O'Neal

Mrs. Alice Diantha Lambert, widow of the late J. A. Lambert and one of the pioneer mothers of southern Reno county died at the home of her son, A. J. Lambert, of Arlington July 4. She was 91 years old.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at Varner July 6, conducted by Rev. C. D. Shultz of Turon, assited by Rev. E. J. Vaughn of Pretty Prairie. Burial was in Walnut Hill Cemetery.

A daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John Schooley, Mrs. Lambert was born near Montrose, Iowa, October 24, 1852. She married to J. A. Lambert February 25, 1869. They came to southern Reno county in 1884 and lived on the same land until Mr. Lambert's death June 25, 1927. Since that time she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. J. F. Ravens, until a few weeks ago when she went to the home of her son in Arlington.

Surviving are six children; C. A., O. M. and F. M. Lambert, all of Pretty Prairie, A. J. Lambert , Arlington; Mrs. Elizabeth Ravens, Kingman; and Mrs. Edith Hodges, Devol, Okla., a sister, Mrs. E. F. Milam, Wichita; and one brother, J. H. Schooley, Hutchinson; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
