Kenneth J. Dayhoff, 93, of Gettysburg, entered into God's eternal care, Thursday, May 24, 2018 at his home with his loving daughters by his side.

Born Nov. 3, 1924 in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Samuel J. And Grace (Sterner) Dayhoff. Kenneth was the loving husband of the late Mildred L. (Smith) Dayhoff with whom he shared 65 years of marriage until her passing on November 30, 2010.

Kenneth was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Littlestown. He was a life-long farmer and was well known throughout Adams County for his sweet corn.

Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. His land was very important to him and he saw to it that his land would always remain a farm through the Land Conservancy of Adams County. He enjoyed watching the white tail deer and other wild life on his farm.

Kenneth is survived by his two daughters, Carole J. Harner of Gettysburg, and Cynthia E. Keller and husband Richard of Gettysburg; three grandchildren, Gregory B. Harner of Myrtle Beach, SC, Douglas L. Harner and wife Jamie of Riva, Md., and Timothy A. Keller and wife Natalie of Gettysburg; five great grandchildren: McKenna P. Keller, Zoey L. Harner, Charleigh G. Harner, Vaughn L. Harner, and Wyatt P. Harner; and one brother, Robert Dayhoff of Gettysburg. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dawson Harner; two brothers, Theron Dayhoff and Francis Dayhoff; and two sisters, Bernice Appler and Alta Flickinger.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Kenneth's life will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 330 White Hall Road, Littlestown, with Sister Deborah McClelland and Certified Life Cycle Celebrant Robin Tyler officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Gettysburg.

Serving as casketbearers will be: grandsons Gregory Harner, Douglas Harner, Timothy Keller, and good friend of the family Michael Keiser.
