Alta K. Dayhoff Flickinger of Gettysburg, formerly of New Oxford, Adams County, died April 17 at Green Acres, Gettysburg. She was 89. Mrs. Flickinger was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Littlestown, Adams County, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid Society.


Born in Harney, Md., Oct. 8, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Grace Sterner Dayhoff. She was the wife of the late Claude L. Flickinger.


She leaves a son, Allen L. Flickinger of Gettysburg; three grandchildren; five great-granddaughters; a sister, Bernice Appler of Littlestown; and three brothers, Francis Dayhoff, Kenneth Dayhoff and Robert Dayhoff, all of Gettysburg.


Viewing is 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Feiser Funeral Home Inc., 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford. The service is at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. E. Edward Keyser officiating.


Burial is at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 330 Whitehall Road, Littlestown 17340.
