Jean was a daughter of the late Samuel David and Rose Annette (Cochran) Knox. She is also preceded in death by her husband Walter M. Stewart; two brothers John Thomas Knox and David R. Knox; and one sister Doris R. Harris.
Jean was a homemaker and a Presbyterian by faith.
Surviving are her two sons, James (Inez) Stewart and Larry (Susan) Stewart, both of Columbus; one brother, James R. Knox of New Cumberland; and one grandchild, Ian Stewart.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Turley Funeral Home.
Services will be there at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018. Interment will follow in the New Cumberland Cemetery.
