He was born on August 2, 1935 in Lafayette to the late Charles I. and Edna M. (Newton) Kenny.
Charles graduated from Wea High School class of 1953 and attended Purdue University
He worked as a self-employed entrepreneur for years, working at Supertest, Laundry Mats, Fairfield Builders, Ready Mix Concrete, Wendy's (in Crawfordsville) and Kenny Farms.
He enjoyed golfing, traveling, snowmobiling, fishing in Canada and was a member of the John Purdue Club. Charles most of all enjoyed the time he got to spend with his family and his grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are one son; one daughter; three brothers; one sister; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 5-7pm at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Services are on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Tom Mellady will be officiating. Interment will be in the Kenny Cemetery in Tippecanoe County.
