Bobby, Age 83, went to his heavenly home, Saturday, May 19, 2018. He was lifelong resident of Pumpkin Center.

Bobby served his country proudly as a veteran of the United States Army.

He married the love of his life, Mary Frances (Shaffer) Hano on January 29, 1960, and the two of them have been inseparable for those 58 years. He was a wonderful loving husband, father, and grandfather. Bobby was a huge LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints fan, who enjoyed watching and talking football. Bobby literally devoted his whole life to his family. He was humble, outgoing, and friendly; truly a man who never met a stranger. He is already dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bobby is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Frances (Shaffer) Hano; daughters, Cindy Collins (Charley Story), Bobbie Oliphant (Ken Wagner) and Michelle Weedman; sons, Huey Ridgell, and Bryant Hano (Jo Ann); sisters, Glennie Brunet, and Pearl Noto; along with 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Sarah Hano; sister, Leona Starkey; brothers, Willie, Cater, Burlin, and Hollis Hano; grandson, Bradley Ridgell; daughter-in-law, Tina Ridgell; sons-in-law, Jim Collins, and Bart Oliphant.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Hammond, on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Dr. Phil Weaver will officiate the service, with eulogy by Darrell Adams,

pallbearers are Chad Ridgell, B.J. Oliphant, Billy Ray Collins, Michael Aaron Walker, Layton Wiley, Sydney Ridgell, honorary pallbearers are Bill Monteleone, Gary Starkey, Valmond Hano, with interment will follow in Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery.
