She was born on July 24, 1933, the tenth child of Napoleon and Alice (Morneau) Alexandre in Sanford, ME.
She attended Lafayette and Emerson Schools through eighth grade then stayed home to assist her mother with the care of her younger siblings and other household responsibilities. As a young adult, she worked in the mills and on Sept. 4, 1954, at the age of 21, she married Andre C. Cote and together they raised ten children. Their marriage lasted 61 ½ years until his death on April 6, 2016.
Having learned to be a caregiver at a young age, Juliette continued to care for others throughout her lifetime. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, often driving elderly to appointments and sharing homemade meals and baked goods with family and neighbors. She learned to be a gardener, barber and nurse as she cared for the needs of her family. She especially knew the gift of hospitality and many, both young and old, loved coming to her home. She was a godly example for her children/grandchildren to follow. She was kind, compassionate, generous, and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed Word Finds and playing games. To supplement Andre’s income, she babysat other children and cleaned homes and doctors’ offices. Her smile and genuine heart will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Juliette, a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, volunteered on many church committees. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, Daughters of Isabella, Catholic Financial Life/St. Jean de Baptiste and The Living Rosary.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and son-in-law, Edward Kenyon, Jr.; brothers Joseph (Pete), Raymond, George, Adrian, Edgar, Roland, Henri and Louie; and sisters, Adrienne Henry, Henriette Lamirande and baby Rolande.
