Marjorie Bourne Shackelford, 93, of King George County passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Hughes Home.
Mrs. Shackelford was the daughter of the late Henry S. and Gladys N. Bourne. She was the widow of David J. Shackelford. Mrs. Shackelford enjoyed purchasing and restoring antiques, traveling to races with her late husband, David, and most of all spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Lee Shackelford (Delores); three grandchildren Carla Jones, Sandi Jo Shackelford and Kristian L. Shackelford; three great-grandsons Jacob Jones, William Jones and Samuel Shackelford; sister Edna Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Charlotte Cooper and Hazel Stevens; and brothers Vernon Bourne and Earl Bourne.
A service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 12 at Covenant Funeral Service Fredericksburg Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Ramoth Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ramoth Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 478 Ramoth Church Rd., Stafford, Va. 22554.
