Rites Friday in Frankston for Dolph "D.L." Hugon


Frankston - Services for Dolph "D.L." Hugon, Jr., 79, Frankston, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Frankston, with the Revs. Bob Waldman and Dr. Harold Brunson officiating. Burial will be in Frankston City Cemetery under direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Frankston.


Mr. Hugon died Dec. 30 in a Tyler hospital.


He was born Sept. 12, 1918 in Manning and lived in Frankston most of his life. He retired from the Navy as a lieutenant and was a carrier pilot and instructor during World War II. He worked in residential development construction and later worked as office manager for Phillips Chevrolet in Frankston and Neckover Trailer in Troup.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Boon Hugon.


Survivors include son, John C. Hugon of Duncan, Okla.; brother, Joe Frank Hugon of Magnolia; sister, Evelyn H. Brown of Troup; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers include Joe Hugon, Jr., Bill Hugon, Wayne Brown, Huey Kenney, John Harvey, John Procter, Jim Garis and John R. Braught. Honorary pallbearers are Walter Harris, Harper Weesner, J. H. Williams, Herbert Riley and Johnny Simmons.
