Mrs. Cleta Y. Moyer, 84, of Barry, Illinois, passed away at 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2018, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
She was born November 22, 1933, in Waynesville, Missouri, to Jim & Parlee (Dodd) Hill. They preceded her in death.
She married William Harry "Bill" Moyer on December 1, 1951, in Pittsfield, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2008.
She is survived by 2 sons, William Eugene Moyer, wife Glenda, of Hemet, CA and Lowell Dean Moyer, wife Shelly, of Barry, IL, 1 daughter Marsha Gail Shireman of Cave Creek, AZ., 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and numerous nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband she was also preceded in death by 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
Cleta was a loving mother and enjoyed painting in her spare time. She was well known for working at the Barry Apple Basket. Cleta and her husband Bill used to enjoy taking their travel trailer and heading South in the winter.
Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry.
Memorials are suggested to the Barry Swimming Pool.
