Paul A. Hill, 82, of Monroe City, MO, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal. Graveside Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, at the Kinderhook Cemetery in Kinderhook,IL. Reverend Steve Goughner will officiate.
The James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal is in charge of arrangements. Military rites will be accorded by the Emette J. Shields American Legion Post 55.
Mr. Hill was born June 9, 1928, in Waynesville to James and Parley Dodd Hill. He was married to Frances Minear Hill on January 20, 1953 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She preceded him in death April 14, 2010.
Survivors include Sons, Paul A. Hill, Jr. (Kathie), Costa Mesa, CA; Darold Hill, Monroe City, MO; Leonard Hill (Carol), Leonard, MO; Brothers, Joe Hill (Barbara), State of Mississippi; Clinton Hill (Patsy), Jacksonville, IL; Sister, Cleta Moyer, Barry, IL; 8 Grandchildren ; 4 Great grandchildren ; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hill was a Christian by faith. He was retired from the Department of Defense. He was an avid collector of antiques. He and his wife owned and operated "Over the Hill Antiques Store" in Monroe City, MO, for many years. Mr. Hill was a veteran of the United States Army.
