Sister in Bloomsburg is among survivors
Edith Ina Martz Diemer, of 10 Liana Place, Aliso Viejo, Calif., age 96, peacefully left this earth to be with our Heavenly Father on March 30, 2018, at 2:15 a.m. Edith was the daughter of the late Clarence and Catherine Slusser Martz.
Edith was a loving wife, an excellent homemaker and cook. She enjoyed making meals for her family and had many requests for her pies during the holidays. Edith enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and almost never missed a soccer, football, basketball or baseball game in which her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were involved.
Edith is survived by her daughter, Patricia Welliver of Aliso Viejo, Calif., who lovingly cared for her until her passing.
Edith is also survived by her sister, Grace Hill, of Bloomsburg; granddaughter, Denise Druck, of Windsor; grandson, Gordon Welliver, of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; and grandsons and wives: Robert and Jennifer Valousky, of Aliso Viejo, Calif., and Chad and Vivian Valousky of Mission Viejo, Calif.; great-grandchildren: Tanner and Jenna Druck of Windsor, Danielle and husband Kendrick Tibbs of New Mexico, Marissa and Christopher Swift of Greenville, Ill., Meagan and Trevor Gann of Gilbert, Ariz., McKenna and Holger Robalino of Murrieta, Calif., Gordy Welliver of Aliso Viejo, Catalina, Avalon and Irelynn Valousky of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; and Chad Jr., Chandler, and Chase Valousky of Mission Viejo, Cali.; great -great-grandchildren: Noah and Ryder Gann, Owen Swift, and Layla and Holger V. Robalino.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Diemer Sr.; son, Robert M. Diemer Jr.; son-in-law, Robert H. Welliver; nephew, Patrick Diemer; brothers: Sam, Samuel, LaFayette, John, Myron and Donald Martz; sisters: Elizabeth Hume, Louisa Hartzell and Viola Wildsmith.
A celebration in honor of Edith’s life will be held later this month in Mission Viejo, Calif., at the home of Chad and Vivian Valousky.
