Graveside service for WW II Army veteran
Samuel B. Martz, 82, formerly of Bloomsburg, concluded his journey in this life at 7:50 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2009, in Grandview Health Home, Danville.
Born Sept. 26, 1926, a son of the late Clarence and Catherine Slusser Martz, he served as a corporal with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Samuel will be remembered by his daughter, Mary K. Barnes, and husband, Randy, Bloomsburg; two grandchildren; three sisters: Edith Deimer; Viola Wildsmith; Grace Hill; and several nieces and nephews. "Forever in our hearts."
He will be laid to rest in the Creveling Cemetery, Almedia, following a graveside service at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. John Kolenda, pastor of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Bloomsburg, presiding
