She was born in Dracut, Mass., Feb 20, 1898, daughter of Fred Eben Pollard and Isabelle Parker Pollard aka Isabelle Howard Boynton Pollard.
She was a graduate of Lowell High School and was employed as a secretary for an insurance firm for a short time.
Mrs. LaChance has been a resident of Biddeford since 1927. She is a member and past president of the Thursday Club in Biddeford, a past matron of Adah in the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Foss Street United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Women's Educational and Industrial Union of Saco.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Louis LaChance, of Biddeford; a son, Robert of Lebanon, N.H.; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Elizabeth) Tibbetts of Ellington, Conn., and two grandchildren.
