Ray was the son of Ira Corbit and Susie Mead. He married Cora May Sorenson 17 July 1920, Phoenix, Az.

Obituary:
Funeral services for Ray Corbit, 54, an Idaho Falls mason, who accidentaly shot himself last Sunday and died Wednesday at a local hospital were held Monday afternoon at the Seventh LDS Ward Chapel, Keith L Collins of the Seventh Ward officiated.
The family prayer was given by Bishop Jack a Wood Jr. The opening prayer was given by Henry Welck and the benediction was offered by L A Gardner. The obituary was given by H L Bees. Speakers were Paul Brunt and Howard P Price.
Prelude and postlude music was by Miss Dolly Clayton. A vocal duet "In the Garden" was by Thelma Beazeer and Carrie Brown. Norma Maldonado sang "The Lords Prayer" and Lay My Head Beneath a Rose" was sung by Vera June Lingren.
Honorary balbearers were Kenneth Priest, Jim Robinson, EH Brown, Alvin Chapp Roy collins, and ?.
Active palbearers were Emil Carlson, Jesse Hays, Ralph Helm, willie Flunk, Brig Rock and Harold Dale.
Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Buck Funerl home. The dedicatory prayer was offered by Keith L Collins.
