Hooper - Marion LuReta Parker Allen, 88, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 17, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. She lived all of her life in Hooper except when she served two LDS missions, to Western Canada and to Washington D.C. She attended Weber High School, Brigham Young University, and Weber State University where she earned a Master’s degree in Education.

She is a member of the Hooper 1st ward and has served in many capacities including Missionary, Relief Society President, Young Women’s Program, helped write manuals for the Church Curriculum Department, Beehive House Docent, temple worker, choir director and organist to name a few. She was a volunteer for Hooper Tomato Days for years, and an elementary school volunteer for reading and music until she was 86 years old.
Some of her hobbies were family history, genealogy, gardening (especially her raspberry patch) and she loved to travel the world. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She loved music and she loved singing with her six sisters (Parker Sisters).
She has five children: Renee (Bob) O’Brien, Diane (Rusty) Tubbs, Stan (Jeanie) Allen, Rex (Cristie) Allen, and Jan (Kirt) Freeland and ten grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
