She was born Dec. 10, 1920, in rural Washburn, the daughter of Solomon and Lena (Zoss) Kennell. She married David R. Ulrich on Feb. 14, 1940, in Roanoke. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1998.
Surviving are one son, Virgil and Dottie Ulrich of rural Lacon; two daughters, Janice Ulrich, with whom she made her home, and Velda and Leonard Kennell of rural Benson; and daughter-in-law, Loretta Ulrich of rural Washburn. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ben and Edith Kennell of rural Washburn.
She was preceded by her parents, one brother and one son, Jim.
She was a member of North Linn Amish Mennonite Church.
