Born Sept. 1, 1910, in Shelbyville to Andrew J. and Ella Unzicker Ulrich, he married Wilma Kennell on Feb. 14, 1940, in Roanoke. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jim of Washburn and Virgil of Lacon; two daughters, Janice Ulrich of Washburn and Mrs. Leonard (Velda) Kennell of Benson; one sister, Esther Ulrich of Sarasota, Fla.; five brothers, Emanuel of Sarasota, Milo of Rensselaer, Ind., Elton and Elmer, both of Roanoke, and Earl of Osceola, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
He was a farmer.
He was a member of North-Linn Mennonite Church in Roanoke.
