Delphine Carrington went to live with her Savior on December 13, 2008. Mrs. Carrington was born October 20, 1928.
She and Willie F. Carrington were married on March 4, 1944. Her husband of 46 years went to Heaven in 1991, and now they are reunited. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bobby Tankersley; a granddaughter, Jodie Tankersley; a great-grandson, Tate Adam Barrington; her parents, Willis and Bertha Copeland; five brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Carrington was a life-time resident of Baylor County and an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was the plant manager of Russell-Newman Mfg. Company for over 23 years. Mrs. Carrington was passionate about her God, her family and her church.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Mitchell and husband, Jim of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Linda Reddell and husband, Jimmy of Munday, Texas; a son, Trey Carrington and wife, Linda of Throckmorton, Texas; a daughter, Joy Bowling and husband, Kenn of Wichita Falls, Texas; a daughter, Cynthia Kay Pritchard; a son, Dennis Carrington and wife, Tammi; and a son, Rance Carrington and wife, Stormie, all of Seymour, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at the Calvary Baptist Church, with Dr. Darryl Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Woodmen of the World Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour, or to the Hospice of Wichita Falls.
