Neal F. Caviness

Neal F. Caviness, 84, died Friday at Caritas Medical Center.

He was a native of Danville, Ark., a retired civil-service employee, past master of Masonic Lodge 919, a past patron of Order of Eastern Star 439, and a member of American Legion Post 229 and Louisville Chapter of National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Survivors: his wife, the former Mildred Board; daughters Kayse Paul, Anna Baker, Barbara Smallwood and Charlene Thieneman; sons Neal Jr. and Billy Caviness; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Arch L. Heady & Son, 7710 Dixie Highway. Burial: Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 5-9 p.m. Saturday and 3-9 p.m. Sunday.

Memorial gifts: Royal Arch Research Assistance.
