Lawrence E. “Pit” Beaver Jr., 66, of Kokomo, departed this earth Friday, February 9th 2018 at his home in Kokomo. He was born January 20, 1952 in Kokomo to Lawrence E. and Alice Josephine (Ulerick) Beaver. He married his only love, Gloria Huffman on April 22, 2008 in California, telling her “I Love You, always have. I want to marry you “. Pit and Gloria enjoyed nearly ten years together and were planning on renewing their wedding vows on their tenth anniversary in April.

Pit retired from Chrysler in 2006 with several years service. He was a graduate of Kokomo High School. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed researching the history of guns, gunsmithing and target shooting. Pit was also a movie buff, especially classic westerns. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his father.

Surviving family include his wife, Gloria Beaver, Kokomo; his father, Lawrence E. Beaver, South Whitley; siblings, Sarah (Roger) Wright, South Whitley; Patti Lundberg, Galveston; and sisters-in-law, Imagene Spradling, New Waverly; and Dianne Beaver, Columbia City. He was preceded in death by his mother and three brothers, Johnny Spradling, Gene Spradling and Michael Beaver.

Funeral services February 15th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston. Burial will follow at Crown Point Cemetery in Kokomo. Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday.
