Vickie Barker Cannaday, 61, of Martinsville, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. She was born on July 26, 1956 in Martinsville to the late Gilbert Fleming Barker, Jr. and Hazel Hall Barker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Barker.
Mrs. Cannaday was employed as a packer at Amazon; she had graduated from Carver High School and attended college for two years; she was a member of Better Life Ministries, she loved doing crafts, was former owner of Tri-City Title, Affordable Decorating & Design, had been an avid bowler; she loved cats and dogs, and had been a floral designer.
She is survived by her son, Adam Cannaday (Autumn); sister, Donna Hubbard; brother, Ronnie Barker; and two grandchildren, Jillian and Ariel.
The funeral will be Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 2:00 PM, at Better Life Ministries in Fieldale with Pastor Paul Hooker officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM prior to the funeral. Burial will be private.
