Hazel Hall Barker age 89 of Martinsville passed away on Tuesday May 17, 2016 at Pioneer Hospital in Stuart. She was born March 27, 2016 in Franklin County to the late Fred and Hettie Vick Amos Hall. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Gilbert F. “Beanie” Barker, Jr., one son, Thomas F. Barker, son in law, George Hubbard, Jr., four brothers, Alvin, Walt, Sam, and Frank Hall, and one sister, Melba Lynch.

Hazel was a graduate of Franklin County H. S. Class of 1945, and had attended Rich Acres Christian Church. She was retired from DuPont with over 30 years of service, and was an avid bowler for many years.

She is survived by one son, Ronald Barker of Stuart, two daughters, Donna Hubbard and Vickie Cannaday both of Martinsville, one brother, Thomas Hall of Martinsville, three sisters, Lula Craddock of Stuart, Joyce Shively of Roanoke, and June Stanley of Lexington, nine grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be Friday May 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Roselawn Chapel with Donald Kendrick officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Chapel, and at other at the home of her daughter Donna at Beanie Lane, Martinsville.
