Lola Mabel Laurent, 82, went to Heaven on February 12, 2003 to join her Lord and her husband, Lloyd, of 64 years. She was born June 11, 1920 to Cyrus "Henry" and Lola Mabel (Sturdevant) Strayer in Nebraska. Lola married Lloyd Laurent June 17, 1936 in Kansas. They moved to Oklahoma City around 1941 and raised three sons, Larry, Leroy, and Keith. Her parents, a sister and one grandchild preceded her in death. Lola was a loving mother and grandmother who is survived by her sons and their wives, ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Her death is not the end, because this beloved mother will live forever in the hearts and minds of her family and friends. Interment at Spring Creek Cemetery.
The following information is from Carol Strayer. Lola was the granddaughter of Miley & Elmira Strayer and great granddaughter of Martin & Rachel (Ralya) Strayer.
