Mrs. Gertrude Riffle
Mrs. Gertrude Riffle, 72, of 636 6th St. died early today at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 15, 1891, at Leon, W. VA., daughter of the late Henry C. and Sarah Jane Wilson Pickens and had lived in Parkersburg for the past 51 years.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer Riffle; a son, Clayton Riffle, Parkersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Taylor, Lorain, O.; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Rau, Parkersburg, Mrs. Frances Frazier, Parkersburg, Mrs. Sarah Riley, Chesapeake, O. Mrs. Hattie Durst, East Fultonham, O,; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m.. Wednesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley Slayton, officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
