Robert Eugene Gleason, 66 years 1 month and 24 days of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, July 14th, 1993 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital following an illness of three months.

Robert was born in Burnside, Kentucky on May 20th, 1927, son of the late Mike and Levia Dugger Gleason. Robert was a heavy equipment operator and a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Duke Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Robert was survived by his loving wife, Faye Hall Gleason, whom he married on August 23rd, 1974; one daughter, Debra Sue "Debby" (and Darrell) Lyons; two step-daughters, Cathy Hall and Brenda Gibson; one step-son, Larry Hall; one sister, Grace Colyer; two grandchildren, Michael Hall and Monica Gibson; a previous wife, Hollis Ruth Butt Gibson; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike Gleason, who departed this life on May 31st, 1964 and Levia Gleason, who departed this life on August 24th, 1967; three brothers, Jack Gleason, James Gleason, and Mike Gleason Jr.; and two sisters, Bertha Roberts and Margaret Sullivan.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 16th, 1993 in the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. David Bullock officiating.

Burial followed in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens with military services conducted by the American Legion post No#38.
