Joseph Marion "Doc" Parham, age, 64, died at 1:15 am, Saturday, June 28, 1958, at his home.

A native of Buncombe County, NC; son of the late Joseph Marion "Joe" Parham (1861-1917) and Rachel Malissa Martin Parham (1861-1924); husband of Maude Willis Parham (1897–1974).

A retired textile worker and member of First Baptist Church of Arcadia.

Survivors also include daughters, Lucille Parham Pechillis (1914-1987), Lillie Mae Parham Durham (1916–2008), Thelma Parham Ford (1918–1988), and Helen Virginia Parham Jordan (1922–1997); son, Herbert Lee Parham (1926–2000); sister, Elsie Nora Parham Head (1887–1961), brother, Fletcher Bryan Parham (1896–1971); ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Also predeceased by his siblings, Jacob Ragan Parham (1884–1945), Minnie Parham Nicholls (1891–1942).

Funeral services were held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, June 29, 1958, at First Baptist of Arcadia by Rev. Alfred O'Shields and Rev. Paul Smith; burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
