MRS. DOROTHY L. (BESECKER) HARMON, 82, of Nunnery Road, Waynesboro, PA passed away, Saturday, January 27, 2018, in the Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA.
Born August 14, 1935 in Quincy Township, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry I. and Frances L. (Stoops) Besecker.
Mrs. Harmon was a graduate of the Quincy High School.
She and her husband of 61 years, Charles D. "Buster" Harmon, Jr. were married August 18, 1956 in Hagerstown, MD.
Mrs. Harmon was employed as a secretary for 45 years with the American Finance Company, Waynesboro, PA.
She was a member of Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, Waynesboro since 1989.
Mrs. Harmon enjoyed traveling with her husband, bowling, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a sister, Lois B. Rosenberry of Waynesboro and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Maxine G. Mentzer and a brother, Curtis I. Besecker.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 31, 2018, in The Chapel at Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, 9244 Five Forks Road, Waynesboro, with Pastor Ray Kipe officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Wednesday morning, in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
