Born in Remsen, IA on December 21, 1920 to George and Clara Delperdang. He was a resident of Bay Park for over 63 years. Marvin served in the US Navy in the Pacific during World War II on a PT boat and achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He retired from General Dynamics and later as a Real Estate Broker. Marvin was married to his bride and beloved wife, Rita, for 73 wonderful years. He was preceded in death by his son, George Delperdang (April 1995), his grandson, Marc Gergen (August 2011) and 2 brothers (Gerald and Dale Delperdang) and one sister (Mercedes Haverkamp). Marvin is survived by his wife Rita (Forkenbrock), his children: Mary Gergen (Marve), Darrel Delperdang (Betty), Tim Delperdang (Elaine), Joan Smith (Robert deceased 7/10 and Donald deceased 7/16) and Jane Shank (Gary).
