Rites Friday for Clara Delperdang
Funeral services for Mrs. George (Clara) Delperdang will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 16, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen, Iowa. Msgr. F. P. Schultes will officiate, and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. Delperdang died Tuesday, August 13, at Floyd Valley Hospital, LeMars, Iowa. She had been in failing health for some time.
Clara Majeres Delperdang was born October 10, 1892, in Plymouth County, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Majeres.
She was united in marriage to George Delperdang on January 17, 1917, and they had made their home on a farm near Remsen before retiring to town.
She was a member of the Christian Mothers and the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters.
She is survived by her husband, George; one daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Mercedes) Haverkamp of Remsen; five sons, Gerald and Anthony of Remsen, Marvin of San Diego, Calif., Milton of Marcus, Ia., and Dale of Worthington, Minn.; 32 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Alphonse Delperdang of Remsen.
The rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Thursday, and the parish rosary at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Fisch Funeral Home.
