Marva Burgess Taylor, 43, Provo, died Thursday morning, at her home, of cancer.

Born July 23, 1926 in Ogden, she was a daughter of Willard and Mary Adaline Read Burgess. She married Bert L. Taylor Oct. 17, 1959 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

After her early education in Ogden schools, she graduated from Weber High School and attended Weber State College and Brigham Young University. After her marriage she lived in Seattle, Wash., and later moved to the Bountiful and Centerville area. In 1967 they moved to Provo where they have resided since.

Mrs. Taylor was a member of the LDS Church and was active in the Primary and Relief Society organizations. At the time of her death she was a member of the Provo 24th Ward.

Her husband is with the Utah State Highway Department District 6.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Bryan B. Burgess; three daughters, Jalaine, Jennifer, Lorinne, all of Provo; her mother Mary Burgess Smith, Ogden; and two brothers, Eldon W., Burgess, Murray; Owen R. Burgess, Layton.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel in Provo with Bishop Larry Frances of the Provo LDS 24th Ward officiating. Friends may call at the Mortuary Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday prior to services. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
