Lillian V. Blattel, 88, of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday December 3, 2017 at Fountainbleau Lodge. She was born in Illmo, Missouri to Clarence L. and Alma R. Hoffman Jackson. She and James G. Blattel were married July 15, 1946 in Fornfelt, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2011.Mrs. Blattel was employed at the shoe factory, St. Francis Hospital and Andersen-Clark, retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.Survivors include a son James (Doris) Blattel of Jackson, Missouri; two daughters Vicki (Tim) Raines and Linda (Larry) Summers of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; four grandchildren, Heather (Kody) Newkirk, Jaime (Charles) Williams, Brandon (Nancy) Blattel and Adam Raines; seven great-grandchildren, Kaya and Kiana Newkirk, Corie, Jalen, and Cameron Williams, Boyd and Piper Blattel; a brother, Joe (Velma) Jackson and a sister, Kitty Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, William, parents, two brothers and thre sisters.

Visitation will be from 5:00 -8:00 PM. on Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau, with Rev. Allan Saunders as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Scott City.
