Clarence Ray Gunsauley, 64, of Shermans Dale, died Monday, April 24, 2006, at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill.
He was born on July 7, 1941, in Cynthiana, Ky., and was a son of the late John T. Gunsauley and Rada B. (Muligar) Cole.
Clarence was a life member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 AFL-CIO. He worked on pipelines for more than 40 years and was also a truck driver.
He was a member of the New Bloomfield, Duncannon and Dauphin County Sportsmen's Associations, and V.F.W. Post No. 34 in Newport. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by a son, Clarence R. Gunsauley Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Betty J. (Hatch) Gunsauley of Shermans Dale; two daughters, Betty White and Charlotte Gunsauley, both of Kentucky; three step-daughters, Barbara Casner of Mill Creek, Betty Ross of Huntingdon and Shirley Bush of Plainfield; two brothers, John Gunsauley of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, and Harold Gunsauley of Kentucky; two sisters, Jenny Giles and Mary Baker, both of Kentucky; three grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 28, in Ashland Cemetery, York Road, Carlisle, with Deacon Fran Gorman officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation.
