Opelousas — Funeral services for Floyd Joseph Andrus will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 17, 2015, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Deacon Sammy Diesi will officiate the services.

Floyd was a resident of Opelousas. He passed away at home on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at the age of 78. He was a avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener, he enjoyed sharing his produce with his family and friends. He loved his wife, Jane dearly and also his children and grandchildren, he enjoyed watching them play sports and many activities. He has definitely passed on a gene of being a jokester “Sense of humor” to his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Chris Andrus and wife, Marla of Grand Prairie, Dwayne Andrus and wife, Carolann of Opelousas, Faye Andrus of Sunset, Lisa Curley and husband, Chris of Lawtell, brothers, Donald Andrus and wife, Wallie of Port Barre, Curtis Andrus and wife, Tomi of Lafayette, eleven grandchildren, thirteen, great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wife, Betty Jane Andrus, parents, Walter and Adena “Jenny” Bazar Andrus, sister, Lois Bernard, brothers, Wilbur, Willie, Phillip “Pat”, Leon, Walter Jr., and Jack Andrus.

The family requests that visitation be held at Sibille Funeral home on Friday, October 16, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary service at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, and reopen on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
