John William Worley, 92, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Saturday, November 12, 2016, in a local hospital.
He was the son of the late Mike and Effie Mae Worley and was preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian Webb Worley, second wife, Tommie Glover Worley and six siblings.
John was a native of Chattanooga and was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he proudly served with General Patton’s 3rd Army. He retired from Combustion Engineering in Chattanooga.
He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church and was a 50-year member of the Grand Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Mitchell Hayes, of Georgetown, TX., two grandsons, Mitchell Hayes, Jr., of League City, TX, Patrick Hayes, of Sugarland, TX, four great granddaughters, Emma, Bailey, Sydney, Mackenzie and best buddy, Joyce Webb.
Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
