Also known in Irish as Éamonn Ua Dálaigh.
He was a brother to John Daly, Fenian and Irish Revolutionary. He too was a Fenian. He spent some time in prison for suspected participation in the Fenian movement.
Edward was aged 41 when he died. He lived at 4 Frederick Street. He was a tobacconist, and shop owner. Cause of death was heart disease.
His brother John Daly was incarcerated in Chatham Prison at the time of the funeral. Edward led the Limerick Amnesty Committee for his release.
His daughter Kathleen married Tom Clarke, who was executed for his part in the 1916 rising.
His son Ned Daly was also executed in 1916.
