She was born on Dec. 23, 1929, in Cayuga, to George Beauchamp Beaver and Myrtle Evelyn Keister Beaver.
Sarah was a member of Christ Temple Church; and had been a crossing guard for many years and her last assignment was 9th and Maple. Quilting and yard work were hobbies that she thoroughly enjoyed; spending time with family and friends is what she cherished most.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Moody "Duke" Meneely Jr.; and several siblings.
Surviving are a son, George Meneely of Terre Haute, and his children, Cindy Brown, David (Ethel) Meneely, Heather (Dan) Line, and Brandon Rachal; a daughter, Denise (William G.) O'Rourke of Peyton, Colo., and her children, Mindy (Victor Rung) Watts Kendra (Steve) Duran, and Eric O'Rourke; sister, Gloriann Haworth of Terre Haute; two brothers, Homer Beaver of Fairbanks, and Ernest "Peach" (Barb) Beaver of Terre Haute; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of services Thursday, with Pastor Merrill Weir Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
