Born June 30, 1920 in Greenwich Township, NJ she was the daughter of the late Fred and Lena (Welch) Porter.
Jean was a homemaker and years ago worked on the family farm. Her husband, James, passed away in 1988. She enjoyed cooking, baking and bowling at Warren Lanes in several leagues.
She was a member of Church of Annunciation in Bloomsbury.
Jean is survived by two sons Edward (Linda) and James and companion, Bonnie, all of Asbury; sister Betty McCrea of Cherryville, NJ; four grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, two brothers, Dale and John Porter, passed away earlier.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. in Church of Annunciation, 80 Main Street, Bloomsbury, NJ. Visitation will be held Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwich Cemetery in Greenwich Township.
