The funeral was Oct. 14 in St. Joachin and St. Ann Catholic Church, Sun City, for Leander "Lee" Ahmann, 89, Sun City, formerly of the Foxholm area, who died Thursday, Oct. 9, 1997, in Phoenix. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Phoenix.

He was born March 25, 1908, on the family farm in the Foxholm area, to Joseph and Margaret Ahmann. He grew up and was educated in that area. He married Clara Zeltinger June 30, 1934, in Minot. They lived and farmed near Foxholm for many years. They moved to Helena, Mont., in 1983. They moved to Sun City in 1995. They had continued to own their farm in the Foxholm area.

Survivors: wife, Clara; son, Rollie of the Phoenix area; daughters, Betty Watson and Margo Duepner, both of the Phoenix area; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Vi Smith, Phoenix and Mildred Gehringer, Mohall.

Memorials: Preferred to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014-9297.
