Pat was born March 6, 1942, in Martinsville to Charles and Mary (Payton) Anderson. She married James “Ernie” Wilson, October 8, 1960 in Bloomington, and he preceded her in death in January 2015.
She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Stevens of Florence, Alabama, and Brenda Kindred and Barbara Arellano, both of Indianapolis. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Her siblings, who preceded her in death, were Justine Denny, Phyllis Jones, Betty Cure, Lavonne Simms, Charles “Peck” Anderson, Barbara “Tootsie” Koger, Richard “Dick” Anderson, and Don Anderson.
She graduated from Martinsville High School in 1960 and worked as a legal secretary for several law offices in Martinsville and retired from the Indiana Attorney General’s Office in the early 1990s.
She and Ernie were involved in gathering their genealogy and they spent many years participating in Civil War reenactments. They lived for many years in Arizona and spent their last years in Alabama.
She loved to read and serve others in her church and community. She was an avid letter writer and enjoyed bringing a touch of light to others by cards and letters.
The funeral will be conducted at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 100 Church Street, Martinsville, on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at noon with viewing at the church an hour before the service.
Burial will follow the service at the New South Park Cemetery on Poston Road.
