Barbara P. Clark Holloway Monson
1936 - 2017

Early Life: Barbara was born September 21, 1936, in Loa, Utah, to Provensal and Opal Peterson Clark. At a very young age, her parents divorced and her mother married Elmer Jackson Peterson; he raised Barbara as his own.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: In 1955, while living in Green River, Utah, Barbara met and married Marvin Albert Holloway, the love of her life. They had four children and later, welcomed a "big sister" into their little family. Barbara taught her children to work hard, appreciate diversity, serve others, and to love the Savior. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. In the words of her brother, George, "She was 'bubbly.'" She was always in the service of others and often took no thought of her own needs and wishes. She loved children, especially Damian, Kalina and Kambry, with whom she shared her golden years. Barbara never missed an opportunity to talk to and touch a child's life. She often shared her testimony of the Savior and His gospel with family, friends and associates. Following Marvin's death, she married Dean R. Monson, in 1987, whom she cared for until his death in 2016. Barbara Clark Holloway Monson, of Orem, Utah, passed from this earthly life on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. She was 81.
