Joe Alexander died last night at the home of his parents on east 8th street at 7 o'clock after a lingering sickness of thirteen weeks. The cause of his death was Bright's disease. He was born in Scotland and came to this country with his parents in 1886, and has lived in this city ever since. He was formerly in the employ of his uncle in the tailoring shop and for the last three years was a clerk at the post office. He was not a member of any lodge, but was a member of the Bachelors' club, who will be the pallbearers and be escorts. He was also a member of the Congregational church and sang in the choir for a number of years. He leaves to mourn his loss his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Alexander, two sisters and three brothers. He was twenty-four years of age and had many friends, being a very popular young man. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon from the Congregational church at 3:00 p.m., Rev. Cressman conducting the funeral services. All friends wishing to view the remains will have to go to the residence as the casket will not be opened at the church.
